This smoothie is the ideal snack. It contains a blend of fruit which will give your body a high dose of Vitamin C and potassium. Vitamin C is well known as an immune booster but it also repairs cells in order to help the body ward off viruses. Vitamin C is also a powerful antioxidant which helps ward off diseases such as cancer and can decrease symptoms of arthritis.  Bananas supply the body with fibre which promotes regular digestion and supports healthy bowels. Bananas also contain folate which is very important for pregnant women or those trying to get pregnant as folate prevents birth defects in babies.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • ½ cup Raspberries
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 Peache
  • 1 Cup of Orange Juice (can be substituted for other fruit juices)
  • 1 Cups of Ice
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract or one Vanilla Bean

Method

Step 1

In the blender combine the strawberries (hulled if fresh), the chopped peaches and the banana

Step 2

1.Blend until the fruit is pureed

Step 3

Turn on blender

Step 4

1.Add the juice and blend

Step 5

1.Add the ice and blend to desired consistency

Step 6

Enjoy!
